Everyone without exception wants to live forever, but most are mistakenly focused on this temporal life with respect to the appearance of the physical body rather than on the spiritual man. No matter how well we care for this physical body by investing money in skin and health products, exercise and medical sciences, we cannot prevent the natural course of aging. We may succeed in masking the effects of aging but we’re on an inevitably down hill road declining in strength, energy levels, reflexes and physical appearance.
Life on earth is but a moment in time when held against the background of eternity. The physical body is simply the house we live in and this body is temporal, but God will give an incorruptible glorious body to those who accept ‘His’ Son, Jesus Christ, as their Lord and Savior. “For this corruptible must put on the incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.” 1 Corinthians 15:53 (KJV).
